MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His international success has seen his rise into the mainstream of Latin music. Una Lady Como Tu from 2016 received an Colombian Kids Choice Award as The Most Popular Song for 2017. He released his debut long-player ADN to the local Sony distributor in Medellin La Industria Inc. Its Top Latin Albums chart ranked the album at 8. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. He worked together with Noriel in the song Mala Influencia in the year 2020, and in the year following, he released his sophomore album the chart-topping Dopamina. In 2021 he produced a duet for TINI's hit song Maldita Foto. 2023 was the year 2000 when the hit song La Bachata was released. Turizo is a product of a household of music the mother of his younger brother and father are musicians. In interviews, he has stated that music was a necessity. While a youngster, was playing the ukulele and piano. In spite of initially wanting to become a veterinarian, Julian convinced him that having lessons from a Cuban singing teacher would change the direction of his career.
